Hospital Stay

We had such a wonderful experience for an early delivery, Baylor Grapevine Labor and Delivery/Mom Baby Unit staff was amazing, we could not have asked for a better experience for our stay. We had so many visitors and we truely appreciated everyone who came to visit us at the hospital and after we got home. I want to thank my mom, dad, Sheryl, and Alison for all being there during the delivery and right after. We appreciated those who came in from out of town too, it meant so much to Steven and I. Kinsley was just our little blessing and we were so happy to share this amazing time in our lives with those we love and cherish. Also a special thank you to Kevin and Keirstin for getting Kinsley lots of Newborn clothes (we were not prepared for her to be as small as she was and they came to our rescue, also they got us an awesome gate to help with the dogs!). Thank you to Kevin and Keirstin also for getting us dinner for our last night in the hospital, as everyone who knows us well knows that yes I am a very very picky eater and the entire time in the hospital all I ate was chocolate pudding or jello, so they came to my rescue the last night and brought Steven and I On the Border!(never thought it could taste like a million dollars haha)

While in the hospital Kinsley was diagnosed with Jaundice (our wonderful Pediatrician, called to talk to Steven and I, immediately after the nurses came in to tell us because we had to start giving her supplementation of formula due to her rapid weight decrease), unlittle upsetting due to breastfeeding being so important to me but knew it was best for Kinsley. Dr. Nash was very clear, and supportive during our phone conversation, which gave me the upmost respect for her. Due to Kinsley being conisdered pre-mature she had to undergo alittle extra testing but passed everything with flying colors!
Dr. Neal was going to discharge us Friday, but due to Kinsley's Jaundice felt as if we should go ahead and wait until Saturday morning as scheduled.(we all agreed)
