My First Thanksgiving

We didn't do much for Thanksgiving, I was only 1 week old plus Mommy and Daddy were pretty tired, Grandma and Grandpa came over and brought Thanksgiving Dinner to our house for the first time! It was a nice relaxing day of good food and football!

Aunt Nina comes to visit

Aunt Nina is coming to visit and meet me for the first time!!!! She arrives and is so in love with me at first sight! She brought me a couple of shirts (one she made on her own), a purple and black tutu she made (so cute), and a matching bow and headband!!!
She helped mommy and daddy alot with me, she even fed me a few times and got me to sleep for them!!! (they wanted her to stay) We also did a mini photoshoot....I hated this, I did not want to be in a hat box for any reason (would you) but mommy wanted a picture for a Christmas Card/Baby Announcement!

Nov. 20, 2010 - Home Sweet Home

Today is my day to go home and meet my brother Ranger and sister Bailey, oh yeah and see my home and room! Daddy, Mommy, and me took a walk one last time around the unit for Mommy, then went back and they dressed me all up for pictures! MeMe, Uncle Kevin, and Keirstin were at the house getting everything situated for us all to come home(thank you all). MeMe came to the hospital for our discharge and was the "Videographer!" Mommy signed all the paperwork, got her Tdap shot(which she said hurt:( , put me in the carseat and we were on our way to see sunlight for the first time!!!

Hospital Stay

We had such a wonderful experience for an early delivery, Baylor Grapevine Labor and Delivery/Mom Baby Unit staff was amazing, we could not have asked for a better experience for our stay. We had so many visitors and we truely appreciated everyone who came to visit us at the hospital and after we got home. I want to thank my mom, dad, Sheryl, and Alison for all being there during the delivery and right after. We appreciated those who came in from out of town too, it meant so much to Steven and I. Kinsley was just our little blessing and we were so happy to share this amazing time in our lives with those we love and cherish. Also a special thank you to Kevin and Keirstin for getting Kinsley lots of Newborn clothes (we were not prepared for her to be as small as she was and they came to our rescue, also they got us an awesome gate to help with the dogs!). Thank you to Kevin and Keirstin also for getting us dinner for our last night in the hospital, as everyone who knows us well knows that yes I am a very very picky eater and the entire time in the hospital all I ate was chocolate pudding or jello, so they came to my rescue the last night and brought Steven and I On the Border!(never thought it could taste like a million dollars haha)

While in the hospital Kinsley was diagnosed with Jaundice (our wonderful Pediatrician, called to talk to Steven and I, immediately after the nurses came in to tell us because we had to start giving her supplementation of formula due to her rapid weight decrease), unlittle upsetting due to breastfeeding being so important to me but knew it was best for Kinsley. Dr. Nash was very clear, and supportive during our phone conversation, which gave me the upmost respect for her. Due to Kinsley being conisdered pre-mature she had to undergo alittle extra testing but passed everything with flying colors!
Dr. Neal was going to discharge us Friday, but due to Kinsley's Jaundice felt as if we should go ahead and wait until Saturday morning as scheduled.(we all agreed)

D-Time(beware of picture for some of you, it is beautiful to us!)

Well its was time for my arrival, they wheeled mommy back to the operating room, put a big needle in her back(she said it was not bad at all)! Laid her down and she kept asking where daddy was, they had him waiting in the recovery room waiting for mommy to get all situated. Daddy thought they forgot to get him, he said he felt like it took forever for them to finally get him to come in!!! Daddy came in, Dr. Neal, and Dr. Robert began their duties to bring me into this world woo hoo! They told Daddy to get the camera ready she is coming quickly, then warned mommy ... you are going to feel pressure and then mommy did (it was me coming out), then.... a big cry yep that was me too. I have arrived at 4:44pm Wednesday November 17, 2010 weighing 6 lbs 8 oz and 18 1/2 inches long! Mommy immediately cried when she heard me cry, and Daddy was blinding me with the camera already! They cleaned me up, finished with mommy and off we went to the Recovery Room! Mommy got to hold me for a short bit, then a nurse came and told us there was someone who really needed to know what was going on, and was very anxious in the hallway...that would be my MeMe! She arrived shortly after they took mommy back to the operating room, as did Alison, PaPa, and NaNa! Daddy was overjoyed and alittle teary eyed but went and told them all the awesome news that I was here and healthy! Then it was off for my first bath (lets just say that was not fun at all, they were alittle rough but later told mommy it was for the best...yeah right I was not a happy camper)!

The Birth Day of Miss Kinsley Anne

As most of you know my original arrival date was December 10, 2010, but I decided I wanted to come alittle early to meet my daddy and mommy. I arrived 3 1/2 weeks early on November 17, 2010. Mommy and Daddy did not think I was really coming but little did they know I was!! Mommy was having contractions starting Monday but not consistent, same on Tuesday. Then Wednesday my arrival day they grew closer and stronger together, so daddy came home from work at 9:30am to take mommy to  the hospital, after getting hooked up to monitors to see how active I was, they called my MeMe, PaPa, and Uncle Kevin but told them don't worry (b/c they thought I was not coming...MeMe didn't listen she started driving all the way from Lubbock). Dr. Neal came up to check on mommy for the second time and said ok we are ready to go this baby (me) is coming today, the nurses prepared daddy, told him what he was going to wear and what was going to happen, but daddy didn't think they were ready at that moment for my arrival, until the nurse said "Sir we will be going very soon you need to go ahead and get dressed!" My daddy had to wear scrubs, b/c I was coming by C-Section. Daddy called MeMe, PaPa, Uncle Kevin, Alison and Grandma & Grandpa to let them know they were wrong I was coming!!!
